Meet the Attorney

Tomoko Miller, Esq.

I am from San Diego, California, where I worked in real estate while attending college majoring in Business Marketing. My experience in real estate investing started early with my first rental property purchase at the age of 20, which elevated my passion for real estate to have had over 20 transactions since.

In February 2000 I moved to the beautiful state of Hawaii where I attended the University of Hawaii to complete my MBA from the Shidler College of Business in 2004, and my Juris Doctorate from the William S. Richardson School of Law in 2005. While attending graduate school I continued to work as a realtor to expand my knowledge and obtained my Real Estate Brokers designation in 2005.

Upon graduation, I took the opportunity to merge my knowledge in real estate and law by working at a national title company in Hawaii as a conveyance attorney, where I successfully launched the in-house conveyance department in 2008. Since the inception, the conveyance department rapidly grew in deed request volume to become a substantial profit center for the company. I accredit the department's success to my core belief that providing excellent service is essential, because 'nobody raves about average service'.

Family is very important to me, and I was ecstatic when I became a proud parent with the birth of my daughter Brooklyn Isabella in July 2014, who is second to none with the joy her smile gives me everyday. I love showing Brooklyn the beauty of the islands by hiking or running races for our favorite charities, and we can frequently be seen walking our beagle, Porthos.

I am an avid traveler, and was fortunate enough to see several international destinations with Brian before motherhood, including Japan, Thailand, China, Italy, Croatia, and Slovenia. Even Brooklyn inherited the travel gene, with trips to Las Vegas and Vancouver, Canada under her belt in her first 9 months, and many more to come in her future.

Nice years and over 20,000 deeds later, my entrepreneurial spirit led to the creation of 808Deeds. I remain passionate about real estate, and by drafting deeds, can share my enthusiasm with the real estate, lending, and escrow industry. I truly believe my experience and knowledge has proven to be a valuable asset to my customers, and is the reason I am an ideal choice to help others as a reliable conveyance attorney. I will always remain committed to providing an excellent experience and peace of mind to my clients.
